Chapter 01 · 2021 — 2023
01
The marketing years.
Learning how to sell things people can touch, in cities small enough that every campaign came back as a phone call. This is where the instinct formed — and where we met the people who still send us referrals.

First paid marketing engagements. Video-forward from day one — hero films for local operators who couldn't afford agency rates but knew a ninety-second brand film would outperform a stack of static ads. We learned editing rooms and remote sets in the same twelve months.
Worked directly with the operators who own their markets — the dealers, the med-spa founders, the restaurant groups everyone in a small city already knows. That access is a skill of its own. You don't read your way into those rooms; you get taken in by someone who trusts you already, and you don't waste their time when you get there.
The work stopped being just video. Websites, funnels, email systems, CRMs, tracking — clients wanted one team that could ship the whole operation, not a video crew and three vendors. That's the year the practice quietly became full-stack, even before we called it that.
