THE AGENCY BEHIND THE PRACTICE

Get to the Table.

Five years in marketing. Ten countries of production and logistics. Brands built, brands scaled, one taken through a full exit. Everything on this page is the work behind the practice — the years, the rooms, and the operators we learned from before we opened the firm.

Who we are

Borrowman Consultants is what you get when a marketing shop, a video crew, and a supply-chain operator spend five years working in the same room — and then decide to sell that room to founders who need all three at once.

We started in local markets, doing the unglamorous work — car dealers, gyms, med spas, restaurants. Small teams, tight budgets, and clients who could tell in a week whether the marketing was actually moving anything. That is where the instinct came from: an intolerance for decks that don't ship, and a taste for the operators who actually run the businesses we're helping.

Then it got wider. Video production took us to ten countries. Logistics work taught us what a manufacturing partner will and won't do at midnight. And somewhere along the way, we realized the founders we most wanted to work with — regulated care, advanced supplements, licensed operators — weren't being served by anyone who had done all three. So we built this practice.

Chapter 01 · 2021 — 2023

01

The marketing years.

Learning how to sell things people can touch, in cities small enough that every campaign came back as a phone call. This is where the instinct formed — and where we met the people who still send us referrals.

2021 · The first year

First paid marketing engagements. Video-forward from day one — hero films for local operators who couldn't afford agency rates but knew a ninety-second brand film would outperform a stack of static ads. We learned editing rooms and remote sets in the same twelve months.

2022 · Local markets, key players

Worked directly with the operators who own their markets — the dealers, the med-spa founders, the restaurant groups everyone in a small city already knows. That access is a skill of its own. You don't read your way into those rooms; you get taken in by someone who trusts you already, and you don't waste their time when you get there.

2023 · Beyond the shoot

The work stopped being just video. Websites, funnels, email systems, CRMs, tracking — clients wanted one team that could ship the whole operation, not a video crew and three vendors. That's the year the practice quietly became full-stack, even before we called it that.

The best marketing lesson we ever got wasn't taught in a room with a whiteboard. It was taught by watching how a good operator answers a phone.

Chapter 02 · 2023 — 2025

02

Ten countries.

International video production and logistics — navigating customs, crews, currencies, and manufacturing partners in places where the rules change at the border. This is where the political instinct came from.

2023 · Getting on the plane

First international shoots. Different languages, different labor rules, different definitions of "we'll get it done today." You quickly learn that the deliverable is not the file — it's the crew you can call again next quarter without asking twice. Relationships travel; gear doesn't.

2024 · Supply chains, in person

Production work started overlapping with sourcing work. We walked through factories, met the founders, learned which contract manufacturers can actually deliver on their marketing copy and which are just very good at hosting Americans in a conference room. That distinction has saved clients enormous amounts of money since.

2025 · Ten countries deep

By the end of that year we'd produced or coordinated across ten countries — Americas, Europe, Asia. Not for one client, and not as tourists. For real operators, on tight deadlines, where the version that shipped had to actually work by Monday.

Political instinct

You cannot spend five years working across markets and industries and come home without one. Which room to be in, which handshake is real, which "yes" is a scheduling problem and which "yes" is a contract problem — the pattern-recognition compounds. That instinct is now the thing most of our clients are actually paying for.

The takeaway

Marketing taught us how to sell. Logistics taught us how to deliver. Regulated markets are where you need both, done quietly, on the same day.

Chapter 03 · 2025 — today

03

The practice.

Everything above, pointed at founders in regulated care and adjacent industries. Peptides. Psilocybin. Licensed operators of every stripe. One team, one story, five stages.

2025 · AFLU, built and exited

We took the playbook and ran it on our own brand first. AFLU — peptide operator, DTC plus wholesale, sold. Built end-to-end, scaled through a real affiliate engine, then exited. It was the proof-of-work that made the practice possible.

2026 · The consulting practice, formalized

Borrowman Consultants opens as its own thing: a Utah firm working nationwide wherever states are open, guiding founders through the five stages we learned the hard way. Advise. Structure. Coordinate. Every account and dollar stays with the founder.

Today · Where we sit

Salt Lake City, working nationally. Practice areas across peptides, psilocybin, and licensed contractors. Video, systems, and sourcing strategy under one roof, staffed by the same people who spent five years doing the work before naming the firm after it.
